Teresa is deafblind and is a Direct Payment employer employing a team of personal assistants.
Pathfinders Neuromuscular Alliance, with the help of ULO funding from Â鶹ŮÀÉ, developed and delivered training so PAs could support people with muscle weakening conditions. In this video, Jamie Hale talks about why and how they developed the online training, which was done in co-production with people with muscle weakening conditions. The training courses developed are still available for PAs to access via the Pathfinders website.
Mohammed Ilyas who is a carer has supported his mother to access individual employer funding so the PAs they employ could undertake training.
